Flairmet offers many different automated ram controlled gates systems. These provide a wide range of options to suit most applications. Flairmet will be pleased to advise you on your specific requirements but the following provides a useful guide to help narrow down the choices.

Points to consider:

·     The above ground mechanism costs a bit less than an underground system.

·     The ram operator is designed to be unobtrusive though it is in full view

·     Incorporates a self-locking piston so that no extra electric locks are essential though are recommended for gates over 2.5m.

·     The very nature of the design, the motor being mounted onto the ram, dictates the need to provide electric cables in exposed positions and so cannot provide ultimate reliability and security from vandalism.

 ·    A good way of converting existing swing gates to an automatic operation.
